Hugs from My Lord

WHEN I’M CRYING OUT IN DISTRESS,

I’M TIRED AND WEARY BUT FIND NO REST,

You hold me tight,

And tell me it’s alright.

WHEN I JUST CAN’T DO ANYTHING;

AND I TURN INTO THE WORST DRAMA QUEEN;

You take my hand,

And help me stand.

WHEN MY NOSE IS UP IN THE AIR,

AND ABOUT OTHERS I REALLY DON’T CARE,

You humble me.

You set me free.

WHEN I’M WAY TOO BUSY TO SEE YOUR FACE,

TO TAKE EFFORT TO PAUSE FROM MY FAST PACE,

You’re still there,

Showing me you care.

 

When I just want to be with you,

And hear about something that is true,

You give me a hug,

And show me your love.
