Where to Look: A Relationship with Christ

Sometimes, I don’t know what the heck I’m doing.  I feel like not doing anything, and then I get this feeling of a conversation I need to have or somebody to pray for, and soon.  I have started hearing God where I have previously ignored the feelings of “to-dos” and “to-don’ts.”

So, how do I help someone who wants a relationship with Christ that has no idea how?  [This is just what I’m saying.  Not where to find, but where you can start looking.  You may find a relationship with Christ a completely different way.  But if you’re stuck, here’s some ideas.]

Step one: ASK him for one.  Simple.  Easy.  But your heart has to be in it.  I remember being at that place, too.  Thirsty, but only Jesus has the living water that can satisfy.  Everything else falls short.

Step two: SEEK his face, in prayer and the word (the Bible).  If you don’t TRY to spend time with Jesus, how can you discover him?  You don’t want to date someone and never see them, but since it’s Facebook official, you don’t have to do anything.  Wrong!  Jesus WANTS to spend time with you, and you’ve gotta spend some time with him to give him that chance!  (It’s a two-way streak here.)

Step three:  REALIZE!  Besides the KGP (Knowing God Personally Booklet), Cru has a booklet called “Satisfied,” as well.  I have not gone through it with anyone, but I keep one close at hand because I myself need to remember sometimes that I can’t live the Christian life just depending on ME.  I need the Spirit! By the Spirit living in us, we CAN have an awesome relationship with Christ!  HE is the missing piece of the puzzle!  By depending on the Spirit who intercedes for us, we can HEAR God, and he can HEAR us.  We are filled with the Spirit BY FAITH.

I have personally blocked out time in my day to spend with Jesus, because I NOTICE if I don’t.  I get cranky and irritated and frustrated easier.  I’m usually happier around others after I spend some time with Jesus.  Emily, my neighbor, and I, even have double dates with Jesus planned once a week where we go to a coffee shop or something and bring our Bibles and spend time with the Lord!  A relationship with Jesus really is the best thing in the world, and I encourage you to find one if you don’t already!  I’m not trying to push, just educate.

I love you all!  Smiling lots, Anna =)^2

AND I just wanted to put this on here somewhere (‘cuz it’s AWESOME), so you should watch it:
